In trying to uncouple the under floor rear AC lines, I have the forward facing nuts uncoupled, and the two hex nuts that go up thru the floor removed. But where the lines attach up thru the underside of the floor won’t budge.
Do the AC lines detach from the disk above them, or do the AC lines lower with the disk?
that line set plugs into the floor plate
there are 2 collars that protrude from the blocks and go into the floor plate,
use a screwdriver to gently pry the block away from the floor plate.
some oil will also leak out
NOTE get some brake cleaner and spray down the area before you go any further,
to reduce the chance of contaminating the system
I'm still trying to make sure that I don't destroy too much in the process of pulling down that under-chassis rear AC line set.
The set of lines are really fixed into where they fit into under the chassis, since the screws were removed.
Do I pry at the point of the red line below, or pry at the point of the yellow line below to pull the line set from where the fit into the chassis?
I'm betting it's the yellow arrow, it looks like the piece that's attached ( round nut, speedtoys)to the floor pan would unscrew from a male piece on the inside of the floor pan once you remove the other.
The yellow line is where it breaks. Give the things a few biffs with a rubber mallet then use a wood chisel as a pry bar.
The connector has a spigot that pushes in about half an inch as I recall.
Once that connection breaks free getting the pipe out of the union closer to the firewall should be much easier

I'm terrified of the union at the firewall. It seems like it takes a lot more force than needed, despite counter holding the fittings I'm worried about wringing the hoses. Any tips?
