Borla Type S
On my new to me 1981 Comp Group 4.5 had highly restrictive (the single outlet pipe size was not much bigger than my male attribute.. and i am far from being a circus attraction in that department🤓 and it sounded too muffled to my licking. I picked up a brand new Borla Twin tip (offset lenght) that was destined for some type of Mustang and i made it fit at my favorite fabricator (a genius/artist…not for that job but lots of great unique projects). Anyhow, aesthetically i personnaly thinks it looks killer (the offset tips are totally meant to go there.. IMHO) and it sounds mean…Really mean).
Wish i knew how to post videos.. 🤓

Looks great and I bet it sounds awesome too. Have Borlas on both my 928s.
How close is that front right corner of the muffler to the body metal. In the one view you posted, looks very close, like it might touch and vibrate when the exhaust system moves a bit due to engine torque or cornering forces.
For a video, upload it to YouTube and post the link here. We'll be able to play it in the Rennlist window or open it larger on YouTube

I have to admit that the picture shows a tighter fit than it is in reality.. No rubbing/touching even after some spirited driving and very vocal downshifting.. (add the high quality of the roads in Québec ...If it make it there, it makes it anywhere..). That said, my buddy had to perform a sllightly larger opening (+/- 0.75'') in the bumper using an air sawzall and a template.
I will have to re-activate my Youtube account i guess.. Ü
