As for someone offering you 21k I would seriously question there judgment since the e-bay bid never broke $13500

You don't need my approval. I'm sure you had some of those cars, but you patterns in how you post the relate to BS thats quite popular with the trolls.

If you have or had a bunch of porsche I wouldn't post lists of them that don't add up. Just mention a few, when ever a person starts naming dropping a ton of porsches the community will be skeptical, its a natural reaction, but people do have alot of cars too!

Yep I told the guy don't bid because of the e-bay fees involved. I feel bad he really loved 928s. I sent him to this site and told him all the best 928s are here. He'll get a good back round on the car.

If they knew not what the powerplants were, and they couldn't tell you the difference between VNE and TBO, would you perhaps call BS?

Doesn't mean it's not possible. I learned long ago that truth is WAY stranger than fiction. If somebody told me a large commercial jet could go cabrio and continue to fly (and land) I would have been, umm, skeptical. At least until it happened.

I guess I don't see anything wrong with folks 'policing the herd' as it were. Hey, if it's true it's true. If it's not, why not call it?

So, you each decided to dangle a mackerel as bait in a pool of sharks: whether this was done inadvertently, or by design, a predictable tone of reaction was immediate - some sharks pause to think about it, others just bite on instinct..
This 'pool of sharks' is comprised of many individualistic owners, widely dispersed, and of differing personal 928 interests and aptitudes - one thing held common is a high and enduring respect for the 928, regardless of the circumstances of the day.
Mackerel will have a tough time surviving here treading on that sentiment of respect, even with a silent majority:
However, as you each have a (re)stated interest in the cars - history is just that .... history. From my narrow perspective, if you choose to, put your shark(s) in the pool and welcome aboard!

i had the same problems with may 928 porsche that was a 1985 whats funny is i ended up with a honda s2000 later on then a 97 993 c2

All I did was review what Oilslick964 said for consistency. He lied about owning a 928 because he claims a few different stories about how many he has owned. Every one he buys is his first. Its kind of like a **** claiming her virginity at her sixth marriage.

I doubt he is going to disclose everything he knows wrong with this shark to future owners. My little brother was a 'drive/n dump' person too that never took care of there vehicles and just ran them into the ground.

I hope he sells this to Motordyne!

I don't know why I'm letting this get to me so badly, but I am really feeling like I need to convince you and the others who are siding with you that I am not full of crap. I've always respected the Rennlist community and have never tried to trash anyone on the forums and it really bothers me that you are doing this to me. Here is what I propose: With your permission, I'll email you some personal info about me that is readily verifiable and you can make a phone call and visit a couple of web sites to verify it. Once you're convinced that I am what I say I am, all I ask is that you post a reply on this topic sayin "Oilslick964 is not full of crap". Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say I am Johnny Importamt Guy or anything like that, I just want everyone to know that I am not lying about the cars I have owned. If I were going to brag about imaginary cars I've owned, don't you think I would come up with some cooler ones than these? (or at least left out the 924S)
Anyway, if you'll agree to this, let me know. I'd really like for everyone to know that I am on the up & up!
