I’m about to be a new 928 owner it’s a 1980 euro model with about 60k
im looking for a reduced version of what I should look for
the car had a 60k service last year and the owner wants to move on to something more powerful
thanks Mike

Best thing..start posting a LOT of photos.

Anything/Everything can be a huge problem, or not without some context.

Including the 60K mile service, depending on who did it.

Looks very nice. Check fuel lines and PS lines. Clean all the grounds. Engine should be non interference so no timing belt worries

That looks like a nice car, congratulations.

Also, I feel compelled to say that I love that view of these cars, where you really get a sense that, even though the car is pretty wide, it still looks like the front is stretched over the front wheels. It's like the early 911 turbo cars, in reverse.

Cheers

Agree with the fuel and PS lines. All should be replaced if they haven't been. As far as the engine, I think some of the early Euro heads may be interference risks. I'll let those in the know chime in on that aspect.

It would help to know if it’s 5sp or auto.
