^^ Superior intellect again reigns.

Thank you for at least being diplomatic about it!

The sad part is I have two CIS 928's and only one L-Jet, the 81 was converted to LH / EZF

Sorry for late reaction. All your explanations are very much appreciated. It feels like an on-line course, of which I have been doing some lateley (IBD diploma distiller). And I have been producing some Sonnema Berenburg up in the far north of the Netherlands (Friesland) which kept me off the forum for a bit.

From the 1979 service info guide RE: secondary air injection:
Dear Rob, your guess is correct! I am building a CIS engine. The giveaway might be my footnote, but I prefer to think that you have an amazing memory and actually remember what car I have from previous conversations.

Discard the air pump junk.....
Dear Barry, that is my plan exactly. But by the time the car is ready I can't come over to show it to you because of the Belgian emission restrictions. No pre-2000 cars from 2023?

How do other people delete the air pump without getting an extra exhaust inside the engine room? Just plug the holes with the same screw plugs that go into the front of the heads?

For those who worry about the smell the car will produce. I am converting to electornic fuel injection and ignition so the smell should not be as bad as the CIS configuration.

I did keep the option of installing the air pump with the bracket on the Porkensioner base bracket.

Seems like a lot of effort when you could just keep the air pump..and try to stay ahead of legislative challenges.
