Does anyone know of a good mechanic in the Peachtree City area. My '89 928s starts up for 5mins then idles down and cut off. Then eventually does not start back up. It has been sitting up for years. That is the only issue with the car for now. Any ideas?? Please?!?

Howard Wright at European Classics is who I'd recommend, but think he has a fairly lengthy wait time right now.

You can start by removing the fuel sender in the hatch area and take a look at the in-tank filter.

Take a whiff of how the fuel smells, too.

IMO. You need to clean the gas tank, replace the in-tank screen, hose from the tank to the pump, fuel filter and fuel pump.

The drop in idle is the fuel pump struggling to pump enough fuel to pressurize the fuel rails.

Just went through this with my GTS that had been sitting and hardly driven for a number of years.

Good luck.
