David "DR" Roberts March 1959 - April 4, 2022
Dear 928 Family,
It is with the most profoundly broken heart that I must make this post. At 1pm Monday, April 4th, my heart and soul were shattered as David died in my arms. He fought an admirable and courageous battle the past 19 months, and I was by his side throughout it all. He tried so hard to stay here with me but his body was finally just too exhausted to continue.
I hope you all know how much he loved our 928 Family. Therefore, I think it is only fitting that his memorial be held with you all together. So, we will have a celebration of David's life and love at Sharks in the Mountains this year - June 3rd - 5th. I hope you will all join me in this celebration. Beyond that, there will only be a small family service in a few weeks.
I will start an official Sharks in the Mountains thread in the next few days. And this will NOT be the last Sharks in the Mountains!

Hard to believe that a year has passed since Dave left us. There is not a day in the year that someone in our community does not think about calling him.
He is deeply missed.
The actual day of his passing was the 4th of April, 2022. But here's to our Doctor of 928's - Dave Roberts!
We miss you brother!!!

Our hearts go out to you for your tremendous loss.
David was respected, admired and loved by this community, we will miss him deeply.
He set a high mark for technical and parts support for all 928 friends as he shared soooooo much knowledge with sincere enthusiasm.

Truly a sad day when we loose such an important part of the 928 family.

Jeannie, so sorry for your loss. You and Dave talked me through so much when I first bought my 928…you both made me feel like family. Dave’s gonna be missed

Very sorry for your loss. I had never met Dave, but I felt like I knew him from all of the high praise he received from the 928 family. R.I.P. Dave.
