Devek has an alignment rack and the skill to use it on your 928. They are in Belmont, about 5 mins south of SFO, a block off 101. I don't have their number handy, but it's on their website at www.devek.net Ask for Susan and tell her dr bob referred you.

HTH!

Thanks to the good dr....

Sure, we can do it, and set it to any spec...your or ours!

Give Susan a call and we can chat when you drop off your 928.

Thanks,
Marc

Tony,

I'd recommend DEVEK also. At this point I don't think I'd trust anyone
else to do it on my car.

Hey Tony,
That's an unbeatable offer from Marc: I wonder if they do service calls out my way ... If you can, assure wheel bearings are correctly tightened, and that tie rods/ball joints are "wiggle free" beforehand - must be correct prior to alignment and can save a lot of time.

Marc: Can you specify what the benefit is between stock and your settings? (no, you don't have to reveal your secret numbers...)

In other words, what can be achieved with modified settings, and are there any side effects?

Thanks to everyone...

The obvious answer has to be DEVEK for some of us in the Bay Area...I was, however hoping to find out about other compatible shops closer to where I live. Petaluma is probably about the same distance as Belmont for me. Hmm...

I'm not sure how much closer this is for you, but Dependable Tire & Brake in San Rafael has a guy who knows how to handle our cars. I've had alignment done there twice, and have had no issues with uneven tire wear since.

I vote for Devek; I had mine done there. I had them do the ball joints and alignment; I have to say they did a great job. I wanted the ball joints done ASAP... I didn't have my new tires & wheels yet, so Susan offered to put a different, evenly worn set(unlike mine) on there for the alignment. I made an appointment, and they told me when it would be done. And, it was ready to pick up as promised. The car handles much, much better than it has a right to with the crummy tires that are on it. I can't wait for my new skins!
