Here, at Precision Motorwerks, we've pretty much perfected the "stroker 928 engine", combining all different kinds of changes...way beyond just changing the crankshaft, rods, and pistons.
We've made these engines virtually bulletproof (as long as the owner doesn't do something really stupid.)
We've solved all of the "Porsche Engineering" issues, which have plagued these engines, from the very first to the very last engines.
And both the power and reliability of our stroker engines is well known.
However, we also build a large amount of stock engines....or rather stock bore and stroke engines.
And while we do incorporate some of the simple pieces/modifications that improve our stroker engines,
we recently decided to toss our entire "bag of tricks" into a stock bore and stroke GT engine and a stock bore and stroke S4 engine and see what happens.
The results are so fantastic, that we've decided to call these engines our "Super Stock Class" of Engines.
Horsepower and torque are up a minimum of 10%, all over the board. Throttle response is unlike anything we've experienced with any stock engine. Fuel economy, under normal operating conditions, is up 15-20%.
The engines run smoother and cooler.
These engines are complete different animals than their stock counterparts.
In short, they run more freely, more efficiently, with less fuel.
How Much, How Much, How much for da pretty little bird?
"If ya gotta ask how much, you can't afford it".
I'm going to guess, based on what I've heard the stroker motors go for, that the motor itself would cost somewhere near the GT it would go very well into would (and I'm thinking of a GT with a good motor in nice condition).
like watching a wizard practice his craft and perfecting his spells. Watching Greg work was always informative and amazing. This build was a long time in the making.

That's tough to answer...since we were doing a complete rebuild, anyway.
There's a bunch of the subtile things that we did, which don't add much to the stock rebuild.
I do have problems with my GB 6.5 liter stroker. In 30k miles I have gotten one speeding ticket ($600) and I'm at the end of my second set of rear tires. Aside from that it runs like Rolex.

Yeah, it took me a minute to get to this point, making prototypes, testing them, perfecting them, and then actually making useful pieces.
You were here (wish you still were), so you got to see some of these pieces.
The great news is that I turned 70 in February....so I've got a whole bunch more years ahead of me to do this stuff.
Seriously, I think Kyle will continue with the business, when I'm done (soon), but I doubt that he will want to deal with the exotic pieces and will just work on keeping stock 928's on the road and doing restorations.
So I'm thinking that most of this stuff will just get pushed into the re-cycle bin and just be a forgotten footnote in the history of the 928.
