Here is an opportunity to save a nice shark.
From a color change to red...
I think the car is beautiful as it is!
And it's a '91 with many of the refinements of the GTS, including the improved steering, better shifter and hand brake lever, HVAC with smog function, better engine light, better sound insulation, and lots more great improvements over the previous years.
However, I do think it should get a new timing belt, despite the mileage. Because age can also make those belts deteriorate.
Best of luck!

Just what I need - a pair of Venetian Blue 928s!
I thought it was 6 years or 60k miles for the t-belt? I just had mine done after 6 years and 16k miles. I know, I know - I don't drive it enough.

Well, if a car has been driven 11k miles in four years, and the belt had been done at 39k, it can be assumed that it might actually be five to six years old. To be very honest with you, it's not the belt alone that should get some attention - but there is also that tensioner that apparently has a tendency to leak and dry out
It's all not a major issue here, though. I certainly don't want to make this car sound "bad" in any way. I'm pretty sure the car is nice and certainly deserves a good home.

Gretz, I did run across a Red 90/91 GT here in southern Indiana about a month ago. It was not in pristine shape so I didnt inquire on it. Now it has disappeared from the lot. I can give you the number of the place if you want to run it down. Totally forgot you still had to have a red 928.

What low mileage are you looking for? There is a company named Willhoit that sometimes has low mileage red/tan sharks. But not only do they charge you an arm and a leg, you also have to pay through the nose...

Tom,
Thanks, Gretzky is sending me pics and info.
However, you're right, there are a bunch of ads and a lot of them are probably outdated. Problem I have is, I never know if the car actually gets sold unless someone lets me know. I have noted your 87 as sold but for example, the 89 S4 to the left of your 87 is still available. What to do? I may just wack any ad one year or older and if the car is still available it will be the sellers responsibility to let me know and I'll post it again.
Thanks for the comment, I hadn't thought about that.
Sorry for hijacking the thread, resume as you were.....

Chuck: You should either contact the seller after a period of time, or - if that's too much stress - limit the time that the ad displays. For example, you can say you display them for 3 Months unless they are renewed.
