Default Cylinder Head Screw Plug Torque

This is the M38 screw plug on the end of the cylinder head. # 10 in the image below.

Looked for the torque in the worksheet and came up dry.

Thanks

Isn't #9 an aluminum crush washer? If so my go to torque amount is "snug"

Late engines don't even have a sealing washer. Plug sits directly on head.
Not uncommon to have plugs that are seeping, on late model heads.
So, I put a sealing ring in, regardless.
In all of the Victor Reinz gasket sets, the sealing ring is round brass, with a layer of something white inside. (Like an old VW Type 1 drain plug seal ring, but big.)
A thin layer of Drei Bond (on both sides of sealing ring), and 50 ft.lbs., is my choice, when I'm dealing.
It helps to center the seal ring just as you get to the point of contact....there is play.

My sealing rings are aluminum like those under the oil pressure sender.
I checked another '89 head here and it came in at ~48ft lbs.
