Have known more than a few owners who invested a lot of money into their auto 928s, only to discover the engine had suffered a TBF event and needed a rebuild. At least if you catch it early like this example, you will limit the monetary pain.

The block surfaces looked really good. Did not measure it. Was not going to change our decision to use the block we know. The spend for new parts including the Super Clamp was less than a good short block. And finding an 89 short block, well that is impossible. That goes for any S4 block.
