"3. Stereo - I found the stereo code behind the ashtray. It is a 5-digit code, but how do I enter it in when the CD player is saying "OFF" on it's display??"
My 91 has the Porsche CD-2 radio, maybe it is similar to yours, mine too said OFF when I picked it up in Boulder CO and stayed that way until I got home, 1000 miles later. Manual sez that if you don't get the code in correctly in the first 3 tries you have to wait 24 hours before you can try again.
The radio will stop saying OFF and instead will say CODE. Then enter the number, everything should be cool.
Mine did not automatically start saying CODE after the 24 hours, but when I pulled the radio fuse and put it back in again the radio went to CODE, it will ask for the code everytime you pull the battery power, just get the code in correctly the first time and you won't see the OFF.

Brendan - you were correct in my case - that crazy "O" Green button did the trick! My stalk has the word "Reset" on it, so I figured that green button HAD to be for something else....nope, if you hold it in, it does reset the trip and time counter! Thanks.
928Quest - that did the trick also. I pulled the fuse and got the "CODE", and I entered the numbers in and.....voila!....sound! CD won't read (P.O. said it was bad), it just spins and has trouble ejecting the disk also. I may take it out and try to have it fixed.....I like the Porsche stereo look. I'm guessing a newer, updated CD player would be better (soundwise), but I'll make an attempt at cleaning the Porsche one first.
