I am in the process of replacing a bad front fuel pressure damper. Not wanting to ruin anything, how the heck do you remove the large retaining nut? I have everything else disconnected. It does not want to budge. I could possibly remove the bracket with the Allan bolt, but I am slightly worried that there may be coolant coming out if I do. I also don't want to bend/break the bracket.
Those nuts "grow" on the dampers, over time.
Sometimes I have to resort to a 1/2" drive Impact, with a 24mm 6 point socket, in order to not destroy the bracket.

For that, I would need to move the fuel line out of the way. Is that safe to do?
My units are not identical but I always leave the piping unions fastened whilst loosening the big mounting nut and then undo the piping unions. Loosening the unions one at a time and then tightening them back up prior to attacking the large mounting nut is not a bad practice and is what I also do making sure to counter hold each joint first.
Take the large mounting nut with a 24mm open ender [or whatever size it is].
