Jerry,
This floor has been a work in progress for over a year and a half. The research and decision to go with grinding and polishing was a lengthly one. Yet despite major efforts to make it work and considerable expense, we failed to create an excellent product.
The man I hired to do the polyaspartic is a chemist and inventor, he does this on the side to fund his research and I found him through a major car collector. HIs references are spectacular and he wanted to do the job, so I think this is a near perfect solution as I love the color. The grinding and polishing has made the floor particularly smooth and flat so ultimately, it contributed to an excellent result. It also reminds me that that perseverance is a virtue... Originally, I could not find someone that knew how to do polyaspartic...
Enjoy!

No concerts are coming from my hands without a dedicated period of learning and practice...
Heres a screenshot from that flashmob Beethoven #9 you posted... Music moves people in ways 928's can't. And 928's create their own music... and.... move people...
When in doubt - - - Look up!

I am optimistic that this floor will be in excellent condition for decades and the oil stains and peeling that plague most epoxy floors will not be present after significant use. This is what they use in hospital operating rooms and high use industrial settings that have to survive the toughest usage patterns.
There are six duplex outlets in the floor for battery tenders so I don't have to have unsightly cords all over the place. Simply park the car over the outlet and drop the cord through the engine compartment to the floor and plug the tender in.... Ahhhhh, its in the details...
Of course I'll find a bunch of stuff I missed and want to do it over agin when this one is full!
I have movers set for the 30th! Come hell or high water, this place is going to be receiving a whole ****load of cars and stored icrap that will make it a huge mess! Enjoy the clean simplicity while it lasts!
Gulp!

Progress heading into the Memorial Day weekend. Tons of details are happening with a great deal of progress in the Bar, Kitchen, Bathrooms and Bee Room. This includes special paint on the ceiling that is rated for a 2 hour fire and would retard a fire from getting to the second floor. Stupidest thing ever from code enforcement, but as they say, "You can't fight City Hall". That 860 Sq Ft room on the second floor is rated as a fire room for some bizarre reason and is double lined with 5/8th inch drywall, has a fire door and is fully fire "caulked". $25 grand of absolute waste!
On the bright side, they may have painted the Railings today in satin black automotive paint - so I'm going to head over in a while to check on it...
Starting to move in on Saturday morning and have 2 movers on the 30th and 6 on the 31st. I do not like moving in before it is finished because that way I'll have to move a lot of things twice! AARGH!
I'll have another update soon...
Physical therapy is going OK as well. Have not torn anything up with my desire to get things done...
Special shout out to our dedicated Veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country. Their valor has given us the freedom to live in a first world country with incredible opportunities. I am thankful every day...
Salute!

All is not ready - - - If a flashmob appeared, everyone would all be put to work immediately - with the move.
Friends do not ask friends for help moving... But the move did start yesterday and the beekeeping room was ready and all of the beekeeping stuff made its way in.
Plus a few cars... You should have seen me pretzel my way into the Coca~Cola car with my new hip... funny stuff there! As a testament to these 928's reliability, every one of them started without any charging of the batteries. After re-connecting the grounding strap, I literally leaned in, made sure they were in neutral and turned the key while standing outside the car. All fired right up after 6 months in hibernation...
The first thing in the building was a 1930's "Frosty the Snowman" decoration from the JL Hudson store in Detroit, Michigan.
Ahhhhhhhhh, carzzzzz at last!
