Just for the record. Old iris blue metallic is light blue. Post 1990-> iris blue metallic is dark blue with violet pearl shade in it (in certain lighting). Midnight blue has the same violet shade but it's even darker... almost black in certain lighting.
It's weird that Porsche used this same color name for two completely different colors. It's very confusing and doesn't make any sense to me.
Old Iris blue metallic:
New iris blue metallic (my 993). This is the same color as the iris blue GTS-cars.
