Default 1978 Quiz Time - which OB Guru will win?

I had a panic moment today applying my new radiator decals while using this pic of the originals for placement references. It was taken just before I began the radiator replacement project.

From everything I can tell, the radiator was original to the car. Who knows their OB’s best and can spot what’s wrong with one of the decals?

blue label added to prevent new mechanic adding pag or ester oil to a R12 system with mineral oil.

I think some shady mechanic in Philly added that label. Do you know him?

But for the quiz I’m only referring the three decals that sit on top of the radiator.

Is that firing order correct?

The engine data decal should be on the air box, not the radiator.

That decal for the 1978 model was scraped off of it's original position and stuck on this radiator.
The radiator is not original to the car....that part number is way later.
You are using fuel hose instead of the correct water hose for the bleeder hose to the reservoir.
'78 model did not have a 14 pin cover....it had a sealing strip all along the inside edge of the fender.
The screw on cap for the 14 pin is not correct, the 78 models had a push on plastic cap.
The ignition timing is way advanced...someone is trying to break the ring lands on the pistons, so they can have 13 more horsepower.
The cover on the ignition coil is upside down....the coil wire should be going through that "notch" in the cover.....and facing down, keeping water out, not funneling water in.

That's all I see, in the first 20 seconds.

Ouch Greg!

Luckily most of that has been corrected after my recent project.

If that radiator isn’t original then that likely explains what I’m referring to.

Click on the pic and zoom in on the center decal and read it.

These two guesses piqued my interest. 1978 vins 107 (Minerva), 228 (I think), and 988 all appear to have the ‘78 emissions sticker in this same location on the passenger side of the radiator. @Ghosteh ’s Mocha ‘78 does have it on the air box but I’m not sure what her vin is.

Interesting. My 78 and 79 both have that sticker on the air box. Perhaps the difference is that both of mine are euro models.

Mine is also a Euro. VIN #01715
I thought that sticker looked out of place there! 😅

Are you sure you guys aren’t referring to this air box decal?

My Pasha (338) is a USA car so she doesn’t have that one.

US had the emissions sticker on the passenger side of the radiator, Euros had it on the airbox.

Minerva's sticker positioning is based on pics of Dave Anderson's very original '78 sticker placement.

I've got a crazy original '78 in.my shop, right now.
I'll take a couple of pictures, tomorrow, although I think Rob Edwards is correct.

Sorry, buddy!
This is virtually all I know.
And 45 years of working on these things, every day, tends to make one notice details.

Plus I had to "suffer" for years of having Mark Anderson point out details I messed up....he and Rob Edward's are the real detail gurus!
