Last I saw I think he was selling Parts on Facebook Marketplace using stock photos. For example he was selling a transmission with a photo that came up when you Googled " 928 transmission". I can't remember exactly which one it was but it was either a phone number or an email address that traced back to the Georgia Department of Corrections. That's was a few months ago.
As always buyer beware. Large and / or expensive part should always be Exchanged in person in a cash and carry sort of way unless you're dealing with a very well-known quantity like 928 International..

This is a pretty stomach turning thread. I experienced a "reputable" shop absconding with a classic car of mine recently. As the information trickled in, and I realized the guy was in fact totally untrustworthy, the sinking feeling in the gut just grew and grew. My sympathies to those navigating those waters. I eventually got my car back-in pieces, and over the course of a month-but it really sucked to realize I was one of several people in a club that none of us signed up for. Best of luck to all who were impacted....
