Camp 928 - June 17-20, 2021. Yes?
I hope everyone who's attended before is well. Nancy and I will get our first sequential injections on Jan 29! That's prompted this post. We'll have to drive 110 miles north to get them (no, not quite into Canada), but I'm very happy. I'm guessing most potential attendees will have gotten their shots by June, and we'll be close to herd frenzy immunity. So ... think we can have Camp 928 this year?
This is the same third weekend in June as before, but I need to check other local events and the school district. It's impossible to guess about the restaurant situation, so save some Chef Boy-R-Dee and Ramen noodles from your prepper hoard.
My Covid project was a pole barn, so there will be plenty of cover for shenanigans. Got the same toys as before, plus an excavator. I made an offer today for three MR2's - I'm an insider on an estate that has its executor overwhelmed. Need a wooly mammoth jaw? I can hook you up with a couple.
Let me know what you think.

Hi Curt. Good job on the vaccines! Just yesterday I wondered if Camp 928 would happen this year. I should be in but need a little more time.
As of today I am not sure I share your confidence on the vaccination schedules however. We will see...

Yes, one of each generation. The oldest is the keeper, genuinely vintage, low miles. The '99 MkII is compromised by an accident and bad paint. The '00 Spyder looks pretty good. But: all were driven in the winter, and kinda crusty underneath. On the other hand, all are running, registered and inspected. Nancy's cousin got the 2020 Supra in the will, and earlier got the Z4 it replaced, cheap.
That's bad. It was looking bad here, for us, shockingly and profoundly disappointingly chaotic, especially with 7 out of 20 million NYers currently eligible, somehow. Then rather suddenly it wasn't. The key seems to have been a late decision to have relatively few mega-sites. But we still had to be on the ball, waiting for an 'opening soon' status to change for the Plattsburgh site. Which, of course, is conveniently remote. Oh, yeah, we had to be 65.

Would love to make it if all goes well here in Quebec and the border opens. I would like to get my new Fuel Distributor installed and the WUR rebuilt... but I have this spare boxster engine that just got delivered. Too many projects. But at least I now have a heat-pump in the garage so I should be able to work through the winter.
Up here over 70 trumps 65... but no idea when they will have finished with the front-line workers and the seniors in long term accommodation... where the majority of deaths have been.

My drill in June is the following weekend (subject to change, of course), so at this point I'm in.

My brother (67) in SoCal was crying the blues about the sorry situation re: vaccination just a few days ago. But he's getting the needle today. Maybe, just maybe, the system is beginning to vork, and we won't be restricted to non-Canadian old farts.
Regarding a new infection, I'll be ferrying three MR2's over here tomorrow. My offer was accepted. Got a mark already for the MkII.
