Ok. I had found this and why I thought the M28/19 was an LH

Here is a pic of my camshaft cover.

Read the M8/19 is from a 84 S model. I'll look for any cast #'s on the heads.

Also curious now if the 5spd is the original G28/05 or the 84 S G28/08. I'll also look for a #.

Not sure about the heads, but I think the intake is the same.

Had the opportunity to purchase every harness out of a 79. It will serve as a great guide to see what is missing from mine although part #'s are not identical between 79 ans 81. I can def say im missing a few ground points, connectors and vacuums after removing this.

Making progress.

The front engine harness seem to be identical. I did find all the ground points on my car so that's a big plus.

Previous owner cut out a lot of old wire and replaced so that is what all the hacking comes from. Two wires that we are in the process of deciphering seem to have been changed on purpose to bypass a possible short, but uncertain still.

The two yellows in my hand go to the white A connector. The connector there is burnt at that two yellow wire end. PO routed it to #3 red wire. That #3 red wire is just an extention that originally connected to connector O where I put the #2. Two totally different harness.

I believe that yellow is a power.

Now going to figure out what these wires are suppose to power.

That wire swap seems to be directly related to why there are two wires swapped up here.

Notice it's missing the two harness black and brown connectors and are now direct from the PO.

New harnesses have a blue/white going to a double color wire (odd looking colors looks like a green brown, ill reference to the wire diagram) and the car has the double color wire going to blue/black.

Also found that the EGR diverter valve doesn't hold any vacuum.. This could be causing the high Nox.

Scored a good full throttle micro switch. Mine was toast. Also got the cruise control cable that mine was snipped.

I'm going to rebuild all the harnesses then swap them in.

Rear's are 8".

Odd as I can't find a 928 that came with a 16x7 52.3ET. All 52.3ET seems to be an 8".

Did a different model Porsche come with this style rim?

Doesn't seem to be enough material to machine the offset down without compromising it's strength.

Bummer was finalizing a super trade.

On another note. I'll be removing the cam cover to verify what cams it has. At this point since it has a 4.7L bottom end swap who knows what year cams it has.

Purely a guess, but they might be 944 rims.

Some of them came with MHC wheels.

I do see phone dial fronts on the 944 with those measurements.

Perhaps taking the trade for the 16x6 for my 16x8's will serve me better over having my current setup.

I would end up with 16x7 52.3ET in the rears with the proper 7's up front. Should still be able to fit a 245 and sit similar to a 16x8 65ET... thoughts?

So got the 928 all rewired. Cranks but no start and the fuel pump relay switches on.

I noticed the fuel pump "fuse" has a constant 12v with the keys out. When cranking it drops to about 6v... is this normal?

Seems odd the fuse voltage with the keys totally out of the ignition.

Thanks for any help.

Edit:
Ill check for fuel and spark.
