She paid me the BEST compliment ever.
I thought the best compliment was when she helped you finish your hood in the house so the paint would be ready for SITM 2003.

you are doing this to an 89 GT.............?????
My upgrades are more along the lines of the Pam Anderson "features". You are doing a "Cher" version..........or is it Michael Jackson.......

Gretch, you got it my man. An '89 GT being hacked apart!!!!!! It scared me at first, but once the die grinder had gone through the first peice, I realized that it was too late to turn back. It actually should look pretty tastefull when complete, other than I am going with a sharks mouth paintjob on the mesh. It actually looks good right now with nothing there!!!!! Pics to follow in a few minutes, once I get them downloaded.

Hmm, lookin at those wire mesh grills got me thinking... how necessary are the brake ducts in the front of the car?
Would removing them and placing a mesh grill in those areas and mesh grill in the middle instead of the aluminum gills look funky? Also, wonder how it would effect cooling...

SOrry about the size of these, but I'm in a rush, and don't have time to resize right now. Here is a longer distance shot of the front.

Here is some of the removed parts. Some were already at the bottom of the trash, and I wasn't going digging. It's at least 10 pounds.

Here is a closer pic of the opening. In it you can see why I had to make a filler between the spoiler and the frame. The frame was like a mini air dam, and I wanted to smooth the transition.

Here is the rod I installed to add structural stability toi the center of the bumper. It goes between the mount for the flap motor and the (former) center mount for the 2 lower slats.
