Hi Brad --
I don't want this to fall into the trap of what precautionary measures are "appropriate", as they vary greatly based on probability of survival. K and I find ourselves in a high-risk position, thanks to some complications after her surgery a year ago. So she can't afford to get it and I can't afford to give it to her. Meanwhile we live in the middle of a high-risk (age) but mixed-opinion community, where many choose to ignore CDC guidelines. People just show up to visit, but get stopped at the front door. A few times we have visited outside on the porch, so long as there's suitable spacing and masks. Nobody seems to like masking and spacing, but considering the alternative they aren't that bad really. Everybody is bulletproof and immortal, right up to the point when they aren't.
Stay safe, follow your best judgement, and we should come out of this intact.
Bob
