I made a quick search and found these Strosek cars for sale in Europe. Recently we had a red Strosek 928 for sale here in Sweden but a friend of mine bought it. Now he has two Strosek cars and I have three.

AFAIK they had warehouse fire years ago where all moulds they used to make their parts were destroyed. They can't make more parts without copying old stuff off existing cars. Not going to happen so no more supply from them at all.

D@mn!
Next you be telling us that there will no more Miami Vice reruns...or no more kits to convert a Fiero into a Ferrari.
What will we do?

You will never hear that, from me!
50 years ago, as a Chemical Engineering major, one of the first things we learned was that "90% of the energy is lost, when converting from one form of energy to a different form, as heat."
And then there is a loss when storing electricity in a battery. And another loss when removing it from a battery. And another loss turning a big electric motor.

If all of sudden, all electrical energy comes from solar or nuclear fusion (which requires way more energy to control than could ever be gained....unless you drag a star over close to earth) there's no problem.

However, until there is enough "free" electricity and they are still burning coal, oil, and natural gas to generate electricity, electric cars are a really bad joke.

....There's absolutely no one more surprised about the success of the Tesla than Tesla!

A modern coal power plant has the same efficiency like an modern diesel engine if nobody can use the thermal energy. If you want the same CO2 emission like a Diesel car with an electric vehicle you need 40 % and more CO2 neutral electricity.

Mr. Brown, I understand you are voting for Trump. Norris Barsumian, the cam grinder, told me when he was over here years ago, that he could not even think voting for the Democrates. They are taking away our freedom he said. You guys over there in the new country are left completely behind. Over here, only electric cars are legal to sell from 2030. The greens are raising the price of gasoline sharply so that people will stop using engines burning fossil fuel. Right now around USD 7.50 per gallon and it will get worse. That's why I spend more and more time in the workshop and drive less and less. Burning coal, oil and natural gas will be banned. Water power, wind power and solar power are OK. Discussions are ongoing as to whether or not we should retain nuclear power. However, we must keep the technology so that we can build nuclear weapons to keep the Russians, perhaps even the Chinese, away. No one seems anxious to discuss the fact that the world is overpopulated. When I was a boy it was 2,5 billions, now it is close to 8 billions.
The drawback of not having Strosek parts available anymore is when you crash the car. You are forced to fabricate the necessary parts yourself when fixing up the car.
Why buy a Tesla, why not buy an electric car from one of the real automakers?

My friend in Nordrhein-Westfalen tells me if die Grünen (the green guys) will come into power in Germany they will raise the price of gasoline up to 3-4 Euro per litre (13,50 to 18.00 US dollar per gallon). Karsten will you go on driving your thirsty 928 at that price?

Why not?
Driving all day long my VW Caddy 1.2 TSI with 82 HP isn´t a pleasure.
The S8 and the 928 use the same quantity of fuel.
I´m the green guy here with my bio gas facility!

We don´t drive trucks! ;-)

Karsten, I did not know that German farmers had so much money to spend on fuel, but think of us poor Swedes up here in the north. The only solution seems to be a wind turbine in the garden that charges the electric car.
My 928 cars consume at least 12.5 liters per 100 km (19 MPG) when I drive slowly and carefully. It must be at least twice as much as
your 82 horsepower Volkswagen.

On my farm I spend every year 50.000 l diesel for my tractors and the telehandler.
The gasengine on the biogas facility produces 5.500.000 kW el. and 4.000.000 kW th. per year for an Gardener with 3-4 acres under windows.

nice Karsten ! with my (ex) company we made a lot of heat exchangers ( water coolers, exhaust coolers/condensors) for WKK installations.
Mostly 1500... 2000 HP gas engines.
