If you want to I can help find a car with the kit and ship it over for you from Germany or Sweden.. They are not uncommon and it will be cheaper to buy a whole car then the kit itself.

The front spoiler on that kit is just begging to be ripped off by a dip in the road...

The Strosek site was still up for a while, but in German only.
But last time I checked, the link I had was dead.

I think Jacquemond may have made copies of some of their kits,
or bought the molds outright. Regardless, the "old style" kits are
not really sold much anymore. There are a few places that sell
some older style kits. But not that exact one.

Check out:

http://www.jacquemond.com/

http://americaninternationalracing.com/

AIR has one front end that looks similar...

I like the rear view of the Strosek.

I think the rear flares are smoother than Jacquemond's...
The front spoiler is pretty nice.

But those cheese graters are cheesy, and the naca ducts on the hood and on the spoiler are cheesy too. The hood bulge is also unappealing...

Overall, I tend to like widebody cars. But some of the kits are just not very nice...

BTW, does that car have little Ferarri or Monza emblems on the air intake tubes?
That looks cheesy too!

At least it's a 5-speed...

But at the price of $20K, I guess that is cheaper than buying a $10K s2, and adding $10K of body kit parts. But I think that at least if you were to do your own widebody, you can at least pick which parts you want to use, and avoid the ugly ones! You could get newer wheels, pick any color to paint the car, etc...

I'm saying that if you get a good donor car, it will run about $10K.
For a really nice s2, or a mediocre s4. Assume you spend a few
thousand getting the s2 up to snuff due to age...

The $10K for the body kit, is assuming a few thousand for new wider wheels and tires,
a few thousand for bodywork, and a couple thousand for paint work.
The kits are not $10K. Usually about $5-8K.
But it will cost about $10K to take the donor car, to a completed project...

So yes, $20K for that Strosek, completed, and ready to roll...

Or spend $20K, and build your own widebody 928, using one of the more
"modern" body kits, that does not look so dated... And you get to pick the
wheels, and the paint color, and make it all your own creation, instead
of just buying someone else's....

But if you love the Strosek, and you can't get the kits anymore,
then you will just have to buy one when one comes up for sale...

I'm not sure I believe those quad exhausts myself. The left side ones look high enough to be going straight through the gas tank. Not sure if its just the body kit fooling the eye...doesn't look like it.

It's demanding a supercharger, though.

That thing would look right at home on an early episode of Miami Vice!!!!!!!!!!! I don't like all of the styling cues (too "80's") but I do like the back end, and the ability to put some BIG meats on there.

Hey guys....your beating up my car!!! Actually, the vast majority of Porsche people love the car and its look. That is attested to by its frequent wins as "Peoples Choice" at Porsche events. Thanks to Chuck for being able to post the pictures of the STROSEK. I owe you one! This car is not only a great head-turner but is put together very well. It has full suspension mods and a factory competiton engine. I have 8 cars and need to sell 2 as I have lost storage space. I have advertised 3 others ....the 2 that sell --sell, otherwise they stay with me to enjoy. With respect to building a car like this today, the cost would far exceed $20,000 . The car has excellant bodywork and a 10 coats of hand-rubbed clear. The paint work alone is in the $5000-$7000 area!! Thanks for your comments and see you at Hershey. Dr. George Petito
