Interesting race and track, I've got some cabin fever, race starts at 2:45, 928 gets some camera time at 11:25.
Linus is the gentleman's name, is he on RL? Nice car.
The Shelby's are set up well and seem to dominate, I hate to admit.
The MG's get respect from me, totally different car but punches above their weight class..

I tried to watch this video but I got the message that it was not available in my country. Bathurst is only 1 hour drive away from my place.
I guess I should have gone there to watch the race.

I watched it from around 11AM to the end, and its a great event. A really iconic track with its height change, twisty bits and high speed downhill run (although slower than it was when straight!). A great range of makes contesting as well, with some serious European drivers involved, and heaps of $ involved in the equipment and logistics. Pity it got almost no exposure in the print media. I was also unable to watch the video above, being in Oz like GP above. Note that one of our local drivers, Chas Mostert, was in the class winning car at Rolex 24 the week before.

Great fun to watch this! I have been to Bathurst several times in the 80's. That was when Peter Brock was dominating with the Holden Commodore.
Fantastic track and absolutely nuts race fans! We camped up in McPhillamy Park in what seemed like an ocean of drunkenness and debauchery. That was before they re-built the Conrod Straight and made the track a great deal safer. As I recall there is an elevation change of almost 600 ft in the track!
Wow!
