Instrument lighting and dimmer switch
My instrument lights only work intermittently and I've discovered that the potentiometer wheel for adjusting brightness is defective (928.613.121.01). Even at maximum levels, the lighting is not particularly bright and I would never intentionally dim further. Rather than replace a $75 part that I find unnecessary, is there a way to bypass this switch and rewire so that the instrument lights are always as bright as they can be?
Thanks in advance for your guidance!

John

Disconnect the two wires and make a jumper to connect them. It will stay on max brightness.

Flinstigator: Thanks for the quick reply. This seems like a very easy solution; I will give it a try.

No problem. I just took my potentiometer wheel apart, cleaned up the contacts, and bolted it back together just to get it working again but had it jumped prior to that. It's an easy fix to just jump it out.
