Default 928 Maintenance Specs

Hi all. What is the reference document I am after that will give me specs for my vehicle. Looking at Torque specs in particular. I have PET and a downloaded Manual. The manual doesn't seem to cover everything. It may tell you how tight to do up a oil drain plug but doesn't seem to say what Torque on a cam gear. Or do I need to have a better read.

Thanks

Greg

Here's a good spreadsheet with much of what you're looking for, though it won't have anything related to your automatic transmission:

the full WSM gives torques on pretty much everything, including cam gear bolts. Or are you referring to the little 'Tech Specs' booklet? Like this one - http://v12.dyndns.org/Porsche/928/Te...ch%20Specs.pdf

Thanks for that. Also useful. I am starting to realize all torque settings are together. As an example section 19 talks about the thermostat housing with no mention of torque settings. You need to find them elsewhere. I am used to using a Toyota manual where it states the torque with the detailed process. All good I am getting there. I am heading away for a few weeks and want to read up as much as I can and have all the details ready to go for my return tasks. I sort of hate using on line manuals. Hard copy would be nicer. I saw some second hand recently for around $400. But its money better in the car for now.

There are pdf versions of all the manuals available on CD from Roger (I think), by Jim Morehouse - they are scanned from manuals, but can be searched , so are very useful. Cheap-ish but well worth it, you really cant get by without them.
As a guide, M6 bolts torque is 7ft/lbs, M8 15 ft/lbs, from the top of my head. Thats into alloy anyway.
