I did a short testdrive with the Audi S8 and the high beam is now superb. Low beam is unfortunally only Xenon light.
Low beam looks like two tea lights.
Tomorrow afternoon I will enter the man cave and install the bulbs in the 928.

when you install the bulbs in the 928 could you please take photos of the actual beam shot?
many earlier "LED bulbs" had terrible light patterns in a conventional lens.

if these actually light up the road at least as well as a Euro H4 the low current draw would make up for the unpleasant color.

We have stormy weather so I work this afternoon on my biogas facility. I put the montage ring in the Euro H4 and had the problem with the O- Ring in Ed´s dust covers. I need a smaller ring or some lube to put it on.
The montage piece from the LED isn´t tappered.

I installed both LED today. Between Ed's adapters and the back of the bulb isn't space so you need a lot of pressure to close the bajonett lock.
I leave the orange o-ring away. I think a soft ring at the back of Ed´s adapters from the same material like the foam at the front is ideal.

A lot of room for the wiring

I leave the o ring away, you need a lot of force to turn the bulb into position

So close

Low beam

High beam

Low beam

High beam

I'll probably make some changes to the sealing cap design to work (better) with the OSRAM 9726CW LED H4 bulbs. About a week ago, I ordered a set of the bulbs from a seller in Estonia. They should be here within another week or two.

I did my testdrive yesterday evening and nobody flashed me with high beam so I think the light pattern is really good.
My hydraulik light adjuster is broken so i will repair it and the light will reach in low beam farer away.

No wonder you were having problems before, your instrument cluster is blindingly bright which makes your eyes struggle to see the distance.
Dim those things down (the originals were dim for a reason) and you'll see even better.

I think the Camera in my phone is the source of the bright Cluster.

My profession is farming and my agricultural Machines have LED working lamps like a christmas tree.
So good light at night is for me self-evident.
