928 is Featured Model at Daytona 24
Watching the 24 Hours of Daytona yesterday, the infield reporting highlighted a Randy-esq 928 in the Porsche Paddock area, including a full bar in the boot. Gold-colored OB (no rear lip spoiler) S with Florida plates, and a crew of enthusiasts wearing "Hesketh Racing" personal livery as enthusiast-attendants.
Somebody from the list? Thanks for carrying the flag!

That's Chris - Z driver 88t here on rennlist. I partied at that tailgate there 3 years ago (2017 Daytona 24). He's a great guy, and very welcoming to all who stop by. Tony was there that year too.

Thanks, Ed!
I missed the rear lip on the TV segment. Original post edited.

Yep. It was a great weekend. I've been going to that race since I was 6 years old. This marked my 45th year attending. The 928 got a lot of love in the Porsche Corral. I was parked near a bright green GT3, and tons of people walked right past the GT3 to ask me about the 928. Lots of thumbs up on the parade lap as well. As usual, I was the only 928 in the Porsche Corral. A good friend of mine made a Bar 928 sign we hung from the hatch and it was without a doubt THE place to gather and hangout for the weekend.
A friend of mine happened to capture the 1-minute video clip on his cell phone from a TV during the broadcast. The sound is not great - have to turn it up. It was fun for the 928 to get some national exposure.

I had a roughly similar result from my trip over the mountains to Denver last month for the RMR/PCA Holiday Party. I went in my Bamboo Beige 82 and took a few pictures there and of the event. Then I wrote up a little bit about the event and sent that and the pictures to the editor of the Regional RMR Monthly Newsletter, called "HighGear." To my surprise one of the pictures I sent ended up on the cover of the magazine. More Glory for the 928.
