I’m looking for a 1978 to do a build on and for the most interesting color combination (to go with a pascha interior. Though I like the striped one too).

Now there could always be a few paint-to-sample early cars floating around out there as well. My favorite all-time 928 color is Petrol Blue Metallic

 

Not red, white, sliver or black. Captain Obvious at your service.

"Kermit" green is very 'interesting', but I'd never want one.
Same with Continental Orange. Those are both personal preferences. Yours may be different.

Minerva Blue is one of my favorites. But I like all of the blues.

 

I think Moonstone is one of the most interesting colors. Have only ever seen it once on a 928.

I'd give anything for a Continental Orange 928. But then again, I have a brown 928. YMMV.

Hmm. I guess I'd give anything but my marriage, which a 2nd project 928 in the garage would certainly cost.

 

I don't get out much, but personally I've never seen a yellow 928 in any MY. I.e., talbot yellow, speed yellow, etc. Seen pics on Rennlist, internet, but not at a 928 event.

 

Petrol blue. Still have regrets waiting 24hrs for the wifes nod of approval before calling too late.
