Rob's GTS in Excellence
#16
If I owned Turq, outside of the People's Republik, I'd be in line for one of Hans' new Twin Screw setups. That'd be the easiest route to moar power. Or if you wanna stay N/A, we can all band together and pressure Greg to replicate his prototype intake.

Look at that mother...

Rob's GTS apparently has enough torque to wipe the color off of his turn signal lens. I'll bet a little more power would take care of the side markers too.
Yup. That intake is nice.

Eric,
I might join that band, after all, the Outlaw GT could become a GTS clone with a monster motor from the masters of the 928 universe!
(Love the look of the intake manifold)
Now that they have most of the bugs worked out with the motor and clutch... It is sure is tempting! Not sure how my GT 5-speed would handle that much power???
Only trouble is that the GT runs so well right now...

Find a donor S4 engine for the stroker project, and mothball the GT engine. All the wear bits and the stuff that makes it a GT are upgraded as part of Greg's build. At some point in the car's life, having the original engine available will be quite valuable.
I had the pleasure of riding in Rob's car with the early edition of the stroker, doing tuning runs with the laptop on my lap. The thrust was amazing. Now with the intake upgrades, I'm sure it's even more so. At the time, the engine bay was amazingly stock looking, with only a few telltales like the vent fittings and such offering clues that it was anything different than a common GTS. Even now, the pics show an intake that's "finished". Except for the connecting hoses at the head flanges and the filters in the inlet hoses, one would be hard pressed to point out much that might attract the attention of a Cali smog inspector. And that's the true test in Cali these days.
