Thanks for the suggestions everybody. I had to go out of town today so I'll get back to Vroomhilda tomorrow and check the various items suggested. I'll update as soon as I have more info available. (Hopefully with a success story...)

OK - there is fuel to and from the fuel filter. I'm off to the fuel distributor now. At least I found the rebuild info on it. Alright, I've got fuel going to the top center of the fuel distributor, nothing out. Looks like rebuild time for it. Also, I've verified no spark, even with the "new" used coil. Don't stop with the ideas.
THANKS TO ALL...

Geoffry,
The top center line at the fuel distributor is from the WUR. The inlet from the pump is the large line at the left front corner of the distributor. BTW if you have no spark, the ignition module may not be sending a "run" signal to the fuel pump relay. Also, there was some bad green wires on the market. May want to check the archives.

Hi,
The green wire was purchased last week from 928 Int'l so I expect it to be the newer "revised" model. Yes, I'd seen the thread about the funky green wires. Next, I'll be picking up some O-rings to rebuild the fuel distributor as per the cfmstudios pictorial. After talking with Jim Bailey/928 Int'l, it seems pretty clear that the fp distributor is the point where the fuel is stopping. He also suggested that the ignition switch might have failed and could be the no-spark cause. I'm not positive about that one yet although that is about the only thing in the ignition system that hasn't been replaced. Once the fp dist. is rebuilt I'll at least be able (I hope) to do a hot-wire start and get the fuel issue (the original problem) put to rest. I just have to keep reminding myself how much $$ I'm saving versus taking the car to the Porsche dealer...
Another day, another try. More to follow.

Geoffry,
Concerning the no spark. Have you checked the values on the two resistors in front of the left fenderwell. On my 78 euro the resistors were OK but the connectors had rusted so much it caused a no spark.

Dennis,
Actually, I don't think I've taken a good look at those. Good idea, thanks - I'll put them on the list. I'm half-heartedly hoping the no-spark issue will clear up once the fuel issue is resolved. Of course, I've realized that things are usually not that simple with the 928, but I can still hope.

You mean that the no fuel problem could actually be a symptom of the no-spark problem? Damn. Bass-ackwards again. Heeeere sparky sparky sparky....
