The green was supposed to be a race car, bought before I knew what euro cars were. The white was purchased to become the next hack job racer and that’s a complete car so therefore could be the donor interior, dash, etc
she’s going to need a great deal of love starting this weekend!
I thought the hump was far too large and would flatten it out a bit while extending the seating area to give an overall more proportioned look with a tonneau cover and top.
I too think the "hump" was/is quite too much, but not so much as you seem to suggest. I would lower it by about 4 or more inches, but not quite as much as your photo shop picture shows. Then I would also shorten the tail of the car by about 3 to 3.5 inches. That can be done with only sheet metal work and has nothing to do with the frame or the wheel base of the car. Have a look at some of my pictures of the Radical Custom 928 in this regard. Then I would look at adapting the convertible top and surrounding metal work form an early 21st century Thunderbird for the top and metal work to go with it, including any changes to the top structure and shape as might be appropriate.
The 928 is known for having a "big butt" and that seems to get exaggerated when you do these conversions to a rag top. I may do one some day and the above is just what I might do.
