Wow, that is unreal! Just amazing work - love all the attention to detail! I could stare at those pics for hours.

First drive, before settling and alignment, and a little photo shoot. Great to see a proper 928 contingent at Werks 2019! All of the transaxle cars, for that matter! @drooman, I am sorry I didn't get to meet you there.
On the judging, I don't know what to say other than it was vastly different than when we experienced when Minerva was judged in '16. Functionality and correctness was a large portion of that judging, along with the story and cleanliness. It was the same thing we experienced for the Avenue on the Concours a few days earlier that year, and both resulted in great success, thankfully.
While the owner presented 241 this year, I was there to answer any question regarding the nature of early '78s and their unique elements. Judges seemed interested mostly in, dare I say, lint in the carpet, than the correctness and functionality of the car. I didn't see one car ask to be started, check light function, etc. Perhaps that is how it is done now. The 1st and second place cars were very deserving from what I saw, no sour grapes here, just my perspective from other years and judging.
And by the way, my own set of P7s are soon to be on Minerva as it was one of her 2 options from new. They are so perfect!

"carpet lint"
Same thing..I had dust in the car, and look hard enough, a water spot under a tail light.
I think our judging came _so late_..I mean, pretty much as awards began...because they judges went back with an SCCA story, and had to re-score because they were told specifically not to do that, and had limited data other than that to go on.
Provide Werks feedback, I have.

I poked around on 241 while it was in (********) but was unable to get an inventory of what the car came with, and never made an offer.
Happy to see that it ended up getting put back together by experts with accessibility to the proper parts because that body was soooooo incredibly nice! (Great job by the previous restorer).
Now if it only had pasha and were for sale.

The absolute height of my 928 race viewing experience was watching you disappear at Laguna Seca from GT2s, 3s, etc a couple years ago. 1.5 seconds a lap. The schadenfreude was exquisite.
Second was helping you change a half shaft on a 911... I held my nose and did my best. lolz
You guys make all this restoration happen along with all the manic wrenches. May the Bwhaaaa be with all of you.

i wish that was only a couple of years ago. Over 10 now but my 928 had quite a run at Laguna seca. 7 straight overall wins. My best lap times there of 1:30 are still very competitive today. And thanks for your help there even when I had my cup car. I just had to try my hands on a spec car rather than a car of my own making. Both provided me great pleasure and satisfaction but in a far different way.
Remember you hopping out of the pits in the 928, clutch grabbing and releasing, the sound of the V-8 in a sea of flat 6, just running away and hiding from some of the most big buck P-cars around. Will never forget that.

Rob: Must be a pleasure to work with surgically clean parts, although I know it wasn't getting there. Brilliant work, including all the repro stickers. Makes me think about washing my car someday soon, even though it's been less than 6 months.

While Werks isn't Pebble, a lot of relevant insight that most concours have in common is in this good read.
