Rob, that is a gorgeous car! Inside and out!
I hope your '78 ends up every bit as spectacular.

olmann's is a pristine example as well..

BUT I'm with 928 GT R.. These are keepers!

i appreciate the posts and the potential cars for purchase, but these are beyond my needs at the moment. both black cars are gorgeous, though. the interior in Rob's car looks brand new and just so perfect. i'd love to see the '78 that's heading to monterey - that car must be an absolute show piece.

Wow - Rubstrip delete! Seems to be extremely rare on the GTs.

If you want to broaden your search to include manual S4 cars, I have a nice bone stock '87 with 116k miles for sale. I have over $8k in recent receipts including a respray in the factory Indischrot. The car has patina and has a few needs and wants but mechanically runs great and would be awesome with some TLC. Its inexpensive (very low reserve), it was also just accepted by BaT and will be listed in a few weeks,

Here's a video on the car:

one of the things i love about the early cars is the lack of moldings (and spoilers). i didn't notice it at first due to the black paint, but that looks awesome!! the moldings kill that wonderful curve the body has and breaks it up. flows so much better when that dividing line is missing - imo.

thanks for the heads up. red isn't my first color choice, but i will certainly follow the auction and likely pm you to get some upfront info - the 'needs' you mention. i noticed the center console - curious about other items.

btw, i might as well mention this here, although now it will not get the attention it would need. might have to start a new thread. i have a '13 panamera turbo - in pristine condition, not a mark! - in white/black that i would make part of a trade, if anyone were interested in that possibility. i'm planning on giving my pan a go on BaT also in the very near future. considering pcar also, but they don't have the volume yet.

There were only 3 US market '89 GTs that came without rubstrips. Now there are 4- Greg and I decided to delete them because A) the car looks way better without them, and B) I kept them and prepped them for paint so if a buyer wants to reinstall them with good 3M tape.

Much better without: (I still need to install the cladding on the bottom of the door skin itself, looks a little funny without it)

thanks in advance for any comments/info.
Don't forget, they're ALL for sale.

Here's the 78 that Rob did with William. It has helped me very much with my 79. https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...f-minerva.html
Good luck on finding a 928!
