I used the Sonax ceramic coating on my Porsche show car
yesterday on my way back from Atlanta I got caught in a brief downpour,
I was doing about 55 as the torrent fell and I could not believe what the water was doing as it got on my car.
The rain drops were rolling back off the hood and fenders like you would see after putting rain dance on your windshield,
I have never seen this type of sheeting action happen on paint, it was like I have been saying nothing sticks to this coating.
The more places i use it the more amazed i am at how awesome it really is and how well its been protecting the finish

How "old" is the ceramic on the car now? I get that effect for a few months with the paint sealant and detail spray protocol, but end up reapplying the Meguiars sealant after six months or so to maintain the full effect. Cutting that effort in half would be worth the ceramic investment for sure.

I primarily use Meguiars M105 / M205 combo when buffing.
Also the new(er) low profile foam pads from Meguiar I like a lot better than the thick ones I'm used to. First time I used them was with my friends new buffer. They come in the same 3 varieties as their previous pads.
Some of the detailing forms really like the Meguiars micro fiber pads as well, but I've yet to try those.
I know it seems like I'm pimping for Meguiars, and yes most of the products I use now are from Meg's. After 3+ decades of detailing cars and trying anything I can get my hands on, I just became very familiar with their products and really like the convenience (and cost) of their bulk concentrate chemicals.
