If you raise the front if a 928 and then lower it again it does not go all the way back down. This is a known issue with aligning a 928, but a benefit also. On my S4 if I jack up one side from the jack pad, and then lower it again, the car will remain sitting high enough that I can get my low profile jack under the front cross beam from the side of the car. The jacking goes slowly at first as you have to take short strokes. Then just raise it and place the stands.
