I just got back from Dyno pro in Denver and my 89 gt made 333.6 rwhp and 327.9rwtq.I was more than impressed and I had them pull up the graph from an 86 928 that made 241.5 hp and 241.4 tq.They allso had a 01 carrera that made 238.2 and a 99 c5 corvette that made 298 hp.The c 5 and my gt made very simmilar power up until 5600 rpm where it leveled off and the gt pulled up to a peak of 6200 rpm.A 94 viper made 339 hp but had 408 rwtq! The mods so far are msds long tube headers, otto x pipe with no cats,2.5 inch custom cat back with borlas, otto intake box mods and chips that I got from vertex.Next stop F.A.S.T for some deep breathing!

wow, almost the same as the Holbert car, even though now im down to 320 rear wheel hp after two race seasons, but suspect gas on the last test.
all you have is headers, x pipe, no cat, and intake box mods? ( what did the chip do?) what is the Otto intake box mod? the little ring?
I tested the ring vs the stock air box with vents and saw no difference. if this is the mod, we think it is helpful to have the ring and filter riser if you dont have a rear vented air box. what do you think?
if the dyno in dever has a run of a C5 at 298hp, it was a sick one. many of them are tested on a 248e dyno to be between 335 and 355rear wheel hp.
some are even WITH cats. also, never seen a viper under 400 rear wheel hp . some stock vipers run close to 420-440 with only rear muffler changes.
was it a 248e dynojet. were those corrected numbers? if so, be curious to hear the actual numbers at the mile high dyno!
great numbers none the less.

The viper was a 94 which is a gen 1 which was rated at 400 flywheel .I have a freind that has a 2000 rt 10 that dynoed 389 at the wheels. As for the c5,I dont know, maybe it was an automatic? The dyno operator said that o2-04 z06s make around 360 at the tires.I would be happy to post the dyno graph that I have in front of me if someone could tell me how.By the way,I have a 98 ls1 camaro ss that also has heads ,cam, headers,z06 manifold and an intercooled vortech that made 528 rwhp as of the last time it was dynoed.Sinse then, more cam and 3lbs more boost were added

The dyno was dynojet,The airbox mods consist of a velocity stack above the maf, no screens in maf,a spacer aprox 3/4 of an inch above the base and 3 inch smooth tubes and a piece of painted 1/8th plywood on top of the radiator to insulated the heat from the air intake openings.I have no idea what each mod did for performance because this is the first dyno run

Here are some really good dynojet examples that are under 300RWHP from an LS1 C5 Corvette. Looks like the range is 268 RWHP to around 300 RWHP stock:

ZO6:
http://www.performancetechcenter.com/index3.htm go to dyno then ZO6 dynos. Looks liketomboyea123 is in Z06 range and even better than two of the five that were tested.
Here is a Viper GTS run below 400 rwhp:
362 RWHP and 410 RWTQ: I've seen the 400 hp RT/10 Vipers at 330 RWHP pretty frequently but I have seen many of the GTS's dyno near 400 RWHP:

All of the numbers that I posted were corrected. The Dynojet measured a correction factor of almost 20% yesterday in Denver. This is done buy measuring Barometric pressure , humidity, temperature ect... and is the norm for dyno testing anywhere. My uncorrected hp numbers were in the 273-281 range.I followed ls1.com for several months during my ss Camaro buildup and never, not once saw a stock pre z06 manifold c5 put down 355 at the rear wheels. I also challenge you to show me a stock gen 1 viper that puts down 400 rwhp or 430 with just a muffler change.

How much boost were you running at the time you made 528 rwhp? Which Vortech are you running? What's the old cam specs, and what are the new cam specs? If possible, please list them at 0.050" lift.
Sounds like you're having lots of fun to me!

that sounds about right for the correction. 5000 feet is about a 18% loss anyway you slice it. sometimes the temp can bring it down, but I would say that you are in the right range for a GT with the screens removed. remember, with a vented air box, we got the same HP , but when we did the velociy stack adapter, we lost 5hp . removed it, and it came back. could only work with the non vented air box. next time, remove the top of the air cleaner and see what the numbers look like.
I was talking Z06 C5,so 330 to 350 plus is the norm to the ground.
Vipers, I was talking 450hp rated versions, like the GTS, etc.
I was at the dyno when the stock viper with only a cat back did 440 and 440 torque to the rear wheels. dont know the year, but it was the GTS I think.
