My daughter drove my car today since the suspension all rubbers replacement.

Within a mile she said it feels like new Porsches on the lot...was really impressed.

She's a tech at Marin Porsche, so had a good 'feel' on this.

I remember driving 928s when new back in the late 80s and early 90s and they were bricks. Rubber and suspension components are wear items and must be renewed within a certain interval as nothing lasts forever. I am in the process of doing the same project right now and have ordered from Porsche all the suspension components and 928 International supplied the rubber LCA parts and rebuild upper control arms as well.

I fought removing the LCA for 2 days and lost. Pickle fork, fancy ball joint press, shocking with a hammer with another hammer on the opposite side and soaking with penetrating oil. No dice.

Have not tried heat.

I have a long history of suspension bits not separating. I think they hate me.

Leave the ball joint attached to the spindle.
Disconnect the ball joint from the lower control arm.
Mark the eccentrics, so you can get the alignment back close enough to drive it to the alignment shop.

I've already marked all that. So, now I'll do as you said.
Thanks.

Kind of a "duh" moment, right?

BTW...those rear bushings aren't too very good either...

How are they supposed to be indexed?

I thought I read GB said they were to be flat if you were using them at the stock height?
