He posted this same car before on Ebay a while back. Imagine that, no takers...

We should report him to PETS (People for the Ethical Treatment of Sharks).

Default Mechanic??

Well, I'll just pick one thing and leave plenty for others. It must be perfectly balanced, 'cause it doesn't have a cross brace anymore. I wonder how long the windshield would last when you get to his "at least 180 mph"

I sure hope he isn't going to school to be a mechanic.

There should be ONE good place for well cared for 928's for sale, ebay is pretty scary.

I guess buying any used car is an ordeal.

No way is he going to get $9,500 for that car. Would make a fine parts car if the price was right. (ie. body, and some interior parts)

I dont know, looks like a great deal outside of the bad paint, no a/c, mix of stock and bastardized wiring harnesses, might not run, etc.... Hmm, could e have just paid for a stroker motor and been better off??

Auction quote: "I have about $28K spent in this car, and I have no intention of getting even half of that back."

No sh*t. I'd be surprised if he gets 1/4.

Interesting lack of ignition switch and center console electronics. Nice touch.

Car is headed for the boneyard. Sad.

What an idiot.

Default Why he's selling . . .

He's going to "get" and education!::
1) As to what a renegade conversion is worth
2) After that "education" how far he can get on $5,000 in school.
3) Math education: $28,000 minus $5000 = $23,000 loss.

I suppose we should be sorry for his loss, but look what he did to the car. A candidate for some form of the Darwin award, we could create the Auto Darwin Award and nominate this guy as the first winner. Few of us will ever sell our sharks for what we have in them, but this is sad.

Actually, sombody on the Alfa Romeo Board posted an Alfa that had been repainted and modified to be the most hideous beast of a car I have ever seen. All i have to do is mention this: the motor was painted bright pink! not to mention the ugly pink interior/seats and the gold accents. Ive never wanted to throw up over a car before. If i can ever find the link again for that car i will have to show you.

I'm amaxed he spent that much on it.

The car must have been hurting before hand. There is no reason to turn a euro into a chevy conversion. Your starting out with 300 hp. Headers and work would probably put you near 330 or so. Thats nothing to kid around with!

5 grand is two semesters tuition, plus a bit for me. Probably a parant makeing him sell the expensive car before they'll help him pay for school.
