My only comment was that this particular dealer is running two different types of auctions on two different cars at the same time. Why run one as a private auction and the other wide open..........obviously up to something!!!!!!! Besides, every single car this dealer sells is either the "best on the planet" or the "finest in existance" So you can't believe everything he says to be true!
low miler -

I don't care if you are a dealer, individual, etc........I don't trust anyone
when it comes to buying a car. A seller is a seller is a seller. Some are better then others, some are not. If you do your homework, you find good and bad cars being sold by anyone. I have seen your cars on eBay and I don't think any more or less of them then the ones offered by E&H. And if I remember correctly all of your auctions pretty much had the same type of descriptions again and again.

What do you want a sales guy to say?

Crappy car!
Plenty of accidents!
Dirty and Ratty!
No maintenance history!

In the end, each car has to stand on it's own merits......regardless of who
is selling it.

Hi 1662. Sorry you are wrong, Feedback cannot be removed. I have been selling Packard parts on ebay full time for 4 years and Feed back cannot be removed. It only cost about $90 to sell an car on ebay no matter how much it sells for. I gaurantee you ebay does not care or have the time to try to make someone happy over $80. I have had over 4000 sales on ebay so I know the way it works. Mike D

Q. What circumstances will eBay will consider removing Feedback?

A. In limited situations eBay may remove feedback without a ruling or settlement agreement from SquareTrade. See eBay's Feedback Removal Policy for more information.

eBay will remove feedback after filing a case with SquareTrade in two situations.

1) Feedback can be removed after you file a case with SquareTrade and there is no response to your case filing if:
At least 14 days have passed since you filed your case;
The feedback was left less than 90 days prior to this case filing;
All necessary case notices were sent to the respondent and SquareTrade received no response either online or by email;
Filer used the same item # and eBay IDs as recorded in the feedback record (note that a separate case must be filed for each item #); and
The item bought or sold must not violate the marketplace policy.
2) Feedback can be removed after you file a case with SquareTrade and receive a response from the other party if:
You have obtained the help of a SquareTrade Mediator;
Both parties agree to the removal in a Settlement Agreement;
The item bought or sold must not violate eBay marketplace policy; and
All other terms of the mediated settlement have been completed.
{Note: there is no time limit to resolving problems - feedback can be removed through mediation even if more than 90 days has passed.

Yeah I quess you are right, Feedback can never be removed.

Mike N,

I wouldn't compare myself in any way to E and H Motors! You said all of my ads sound the same, well they are the same kind of car! The difference is, which you neglected to mention, is my vehicle condition statements are extremely accurate. Though the vehicle descriptions may sound similar, the vehicle condition reports are vastly different. Look at my feedback profile and read my vehicle condition report on each car. Hell, I disclose everything, to the point of a perfectionist. All of his and my cars are used, and not perfect.....they can't be! He says all of his 928's are flawless and leaves no room or mention of any defects. This is very misleading to an uninformed newby! That is why my feedback is 100% positive, there are no surprises! What do you want a salesman to say? Honestly, if at all possible, the truth! I may be a dying breed nowadays, but I do own what I sell, disclose all of the facts, keep in touch long after the sale and make my customers happy doing what I love! You'd be lucky to buy a car from me! As far as E and H goes, you'll be lucky if they return your call after you break down on the way home!

One more thing! Check out E and H's upcoming auction, probably next week, on a '95 black/tan 5 speed GTS with 63K. They bought this one under the username eandhmotors for $34,500 on Ebay a few weeks ago. The reason it sold so cheap was the fact that it had been COMPLETELY REPAINTED. I'm a gamblin' man by nature and I'd wager to say there will be no mention of that small detail!

1662, Thanks for the inquiry, but unfortunately I do not at this time. That of course is subject to change at a moments notice! Finding exceptional, low mileage 5 speed cars is becoming very difficult, though if one comes up, you can bet I'll be the first one on it! Should I give you a heads up when I do? I live in Indianapolis, so we're pretty close!

I saw negative feedback removed for a car dealer on ebay. The dealer claimed the negative feedback was unjustified and left by the winning bidder even though no contact was ever made by him (which may have been true). I wouldn't have believed it unless I saw it happen myself, within just days of auction end.

$42000 spent in last 6,000 miles, then sell it for $34,500.00. Why and how would you do that ? Anyone know the drug dealer that owned this before ?

Thanks Flight, I watched my own get erased this past fall. I just wanted everyone to be carefull that all. The ones that don't believe it can happen might find out the hard way.

Read this following report and look at their feedback, this guy is a pro at removing the negatives.

Well, turns out they did mention the repaint afterall. Though a little creative spin never hurt. $21,000.00 show paint!........negleted to tell the reason for repaint was due to front end damage!

Wow! The article on carschmitt was enlightening. And scary. Thanks for the heads up.

In the past year E & H has been mentioned in this forum countless times and the theme is pretty consistent: nice cars, where does he get them, wouldn't touch 'em w/ a ten foot pole. I've seen tales about folks being turned away at the lot, stories about how their cars are sub-par and misrepresented and stories about how they are masters at making cars look good w/ new wheels and/or paint.

With as many sharks as ole Howard sells, I wonder if he watches this forum. If I dealt in Porshes for a living I'd be all over this site on a daily basis.

Six months ago I talked w/ the guy about one of his cars and I came away with a gut feeling that I wouldn't trust him. He was pretty arrogant and not very nice.

I've spent my last two cents for the night.

Nice job 1662! That article was a real eye opener, and will probably save at least one person on this site from making a deposit to Schmitt!
