yup. $5K would be the best amount on the buy side for what could be a deal or a disaster.

Anyone want the info?
Bottom feeder paid less than that for the holy grail 89GT last week. Tell him to find out about the engine, and we'll talk. Cut the oil filter apart, and show us the pleats in the sunlight. New oil filter is $20, if he won't do that - the car's like Kryptonite.

It looks to me like the gap on the left (driver's) side is bigger than on the right.

The bottom of the right front fender looks a bit 'off', as does the back of the passenger side door.

The 'front end' pic has the left fender looking 'not quite right', at the front near the hood.

I could be seeing things that aren't there. It could (easily) be a trick of the light or the pic's perspective.

So, 91 S4, not GT.
Owner must have kept driving it after I told him I thought thrust bearing failure causing low oil pressure.
Engine cooked.
5’ paint, ok interior, auto trans seemed good.
Definite signs of hack mechanic/owner. Twist nuts in rear coils, engine compartment show deferred maintenance.
Front seats coated with some kind of dye/filler, and not done well.
New thoughts on value?
$1000 as a parts car?

I would say maybe 2k in parts. Not much else left of this car. Where is it located?

Wow, what an idiot! Why on earth would you keep driving it after you knew there was an engine issue!

Sounds like a 5k box-of-surprises car to me. That's about what I paid for my little basket case and another 10k in parts and stuff will bring it up to snuff. By the way, replacing the fuel lines is a good idea, the rear one fell apart on me as I flexed it. Baaaaad....

Salvage title that needs a lot of work, starts sounding like parts car.

Auto-Edge is not a competent outfit, they lie, they charge for things they did not complete. They forgot to tighten and replace main bolts between engine and tranny. Replaced IMS bearing when NOT needed! And still the charges were outrageous! Steer clear of this place!
