Stock S4 lever height from the centerline of the upper pivot bore to the top of the lever (with **** removed) is 181mm.

The Adjustable lever low position is 165.25mm and the high position is 195.25. The lever moves to 4 position in 10mm increments.

Hope that helps,
Hans

Thanks Hans, it’s a beautiful looking piece of componentry. Appreciate the info.

The 1990 Outlaw GT is getting a total TT renew with Constantine Bearings, Hans Shifter, Coupler Bushings, GTS Clutch & Devek Stage 2 header upgrade next week.

Major thanks to Hans and Eric for providing the shifter!

I'll post a few pics of the project as it happens...

Now that's a nice upgrade!

Curious how you'll like Hans' shifter since I haven't installed mine yet.

Default how did you modify the shifter insulating foam

For everyone that has purchased and installed this shifter, can you please share how you modified or replaced the insulating foam that sits on the TT and surrounds the shift mechanism? Please share pictures and ideas. I am hesitant to cut up a perfectly good foam block

I am thinking if I could source some appropriate foam blocks I could cut and shape a similar design to the original. I am just not sure what sort of foam would be suitable for the high heat environment. And, am I looking for sound insulation or heat insulation, or possibly both. Please share your ideas

Amazon Amazon

This is tangental to this mod..if your TT is out. A sizable sound barrier, and a HUGE tunnel heat barrier (Your AC will like this too)

Hi Jeff, yes the 5-spd TT is out of the car and waiting for the transmission to arrive to begin the conversion process. In the meantime I am mocking up the shifter and the insulation around the shifter. If you have suggestions on some insulation tips with that material, please share them here, I think it's relevant for this thread.

Clean the surface, glue it down.

I dont recall what @GregBBRD used.

It extends to the perimeter of the head shields.
