Front turn signals, marker lights and, depending on how they look, rear tail lights.

Halleiluiah! Its about time someone showed up offering the capability to do the lenses.

I have an 928 S2, and Im interested in some front and rear lense upgrades. Im kind of wondering if it wouldnt be too cost prohibitive to make many different styles for an S2. What would be a cost effective manufacturing run for you lense guys?

So, with that in mind, why dont we present the styles that could be done for the front and the back and let us rennlisters vote on it?
Hey, you photoshop wizards, please start coming up with some S2 front lense upgrades! Think "modern and trick". BTW, I think there were some good ideas on the rears you guys presented.

We've spoken before Joakim. I emailed you last year and asked about pieced for the 928 if you recall.

I would be interested in replacing ALL SIDE marker lights with a SMOKED clear lense. Meaning that one could get a "silver smoke" bulb that burns yellow or red or whatever, so that you would only see a smoked grey/silverish lense.

SAME for the front bumper turn signals.

I CAN SEND YOU ALL OF THESE PIECES RIGHT NOW for prototyping if you so chose.

The rearmost lenses will need some serious thought. The S4 versions look GREAT.

For example of the smoked lense idea, I mean this:

It's just that it is a lot easier to make a mold of an existing lens, and re-pour it in clear plastic, than it is to make an entire new lens design.

I think a set of clear *covers* for the s2 lenses would be pretty easy.
Like the green car, but in clear, or smoked, not the dark ones he has on there...

My top interest: Front turn signal and front side marker lenses/lights for S4 and later in either white or grey.

It appears that the front turn signal lenses on the S4 and later are similar to the European ones, but we'd have to compare the DOT versus European numbers - in case anybody cares about legality. Not that important around here, though...

The tail lenses would be nice in a combination of red with matching white or grey.

The tail lights are different here versus Europe - we have three tail light bulbs, while Europe uses one of the sockets for the rear fog lights. I think that the reflector housing and the DOT vs. TUV numbers are different as well.

I'd be interested in clear front turn signals, and front and rear smoked (grey) side markers for the 79-86.

Would it be possible to do something with the black trim pieces framing the front fog lights and turn signals?

In CA, as long as your turn signals flash amber in the front and amber or red in ther rear, they are legal. The color of the lense does not matter. CA vehicle code for signal lights:

General code (see Division 12 for lighting and other vehicle mounted equpiment regulations):

Fredis GT,

Where did you get the rear (clear) lights from?

Thanks,
