Default 928 Le Mans racer

This car ran in the Group B category at Le Mans in 1983, and the original owner has has restored it, with a goal of running it in the 2018 Le Mans Classic. What a cool piece of history. More info here.

I recommend he update the transmission to handle the extra power for an endurance race.

I'm kind'a confused by this car. It was 'restored' but seems to have some newer parts that were not available 1984 when it raced. The S4 engine, wheels ? Does it have the still have the 84 trans or a newer unit?

Would be nice to see it restored as raced.

I used to live in Los Angeles, but now I'm up in Seattle. Let's just say the car scene isn't nearly as cool...
