I am very interested as well. $300 for both front seats in leather? I'd buy it today.
How much is it to get the covers replaced by an upholstery shop?
Cheers,
Sab.

FeedNfrenZ,
I'd be interested in new leather covers for my '84S std power front seats, color champagne.

http://rennbay.com/seats.html

The $300 seats are vinyl so I would need leather or I would feel like I'm dumbing down the car.

I'm in for a set of 944 seat covers in Black, but they have to be leather (or at least the seating surfaces).

What's the cost of new foam cushions. Seems like a shame to replace the tops and leave the worn foam in place. Could stuff some old lunch bags in for filler?

THANKS Brent!
What if I only need 1 cover...driver's seat bolster is worn through.
Nevertheless, I'm interested as well! CASHMERE leather (1989 s4)...
Best,
Tim

The covers on http://www.rennbay.com/seats.html are vinyl. The ones on http://www.worlduph.com/porsche8.htm are leather. I only intend to do a group purchase on the leather covers. However I'm sure that if 10 or so people wanted vinyl it would be easy to set up. They have a wide assortment of porsche colors. http://www.worlduph.com/SAMPLES/porlea1.htm matching yours shouldn't be a problem. As of now we are talking $800 for both front seat covers.

Just got a reply from rennbay. The covers that they sell are only for 944's and not in leather.

$800 for both seats, in leather, sounds like a pretty good deal...

I'd be interested.

I had my 4 seats retrimmed a while back and you need to be very carefull who does it. These seats the ones with the bolsters are right up there with a couple of others as being the most difficult seats to retrim of any car. I paid $4000 AUD fitted to the car. The currency has moved around a lot lately but that price translates to between $2000 and $3000 USD.

The leather, a german one swizer I think, costs about half that figure. So I can tell you that any covers costing around $1000 I would look very carefully at. There is a difference between car leather and interior or leather for your lounge. Also my seats have the perforations.

I've heard good things about the kits that World upholstery sells and I intend on having a professional install them (even though I hear you CAN do it yourself). Does anyone have replacement covers from World upholstery? Has anyone tackled this job themselves?
