copy that. I’ll eventua get around to pulling the pod, but way too much to do before I get to that.

Yea, I hear ya. Just ignore your gauges until you do that rear foil with the new kit. Of course I say that but please double check the actual temps/volts/gas level first.

Ash, it may have already been said, but check the grounds under your dash and clean them. A lot of electrical gremlins in a 928 (especially those in the instrument cluster) can be corrected by a little maintenance on the grounds.

Just above the brake pedal you will find the folded steel steering column support, and a bolt or two holding numbers of brown wires under them. These are grounds. Porsche grounded every circuit individually on these cars, rather than using a common ground for many items. Remove the bolt, remove the ring terminals, buff them with a Skotchbrite pad or an ink eraser or whatever, and put them back together and bolt them up. Then go to the passenger footwell and do they same thing to the ground bolts that you will find above the fuse panel.

Your voltage indicator may behave better after you are done.

Use some Deoxit on them as part of the cleanup procedure as well.
