too little coffee yet this morning. What I intended to include in the above is that my Workshop manuals include a specific section for the GT, so Porsche obviously recognises the GT as a specific configuration. So even Porsche doesn't seem to have specific designation rules.

I should have credited Porsche 928 Wiki for that chart in my post.

What always baffled/bothered me about s1 s2 s3 bit is that there were 5 different S versions BEFORE the "S4"

What brand of oil should I use and what viscosity is suitable for all the variations in their respective domiciles.
Maybe start a chart?
