I have a lead on a nice 1982 928

Nice buy! When I spoke to the seller, right after the buyer took it away, she was relieved to have it gone. So while we may debate the price, at the end of the day she is satisfied, and I presume so will the buyer. All's well that ends well.

IMHO, the "barn fresh" look doesn't really help the value of a car like this. If it was a '32 Ford or '71 Cuda, then maybe. The best look (and where the value is) for this car is going to be sparkling showroom new. Bring the mechanicals up to date, detail the heck out of it, and replace anything crusty, gummed up, or dried out.

O.K. I'll let him know to get the refresh started. He took a minute to wash it today and the paint is going to be gorgeous. Should be single stage and buff out really well. We'll help him get her up to snuff mechanically (it's what our club does) and once it's professionally detailed inside & out, under the hood, in the hatch and paint buffed it should fetch a nice price (if he sells it). He very well may keep her as he loves the way it runs, light, nimble feel and a five speed... The 11K miles on the clock is a HUGE car show thing! Watch out Mike Buccicone... he may come gunning for your Car Show throne!
