Default Parts available - Frenzy 22

I'm aware there is a thread regarding 928 parts for sale at Frenzy. Didn't post there - I'll have at least 3 or more boxes/cartons of parts available, but NONE for sale. All are 'FREE' for the taking as my 'thank you' to the 928 community for the fun and camaraderie you all have provided me over the past 19 years (my first Frenzy was '99). Essentially all parts are for '87-91, with a few for GTS's, and a few fitting all model years. Most are used, but some are new. All 'ran when parked' (maybe better to say were operational when dismantled!).

These may not be on display until I arrive 9:30 to 10 AM on Saturday. Hope every part will be helpful to someone. Any left when the fun run begins will be headed for a dumpster.

Gary

Hi Gary
Good to see you still around! Even if you are currently deficient in the 928 ownership area Any thoughts about addressing that deficiency?

Karl,

Mahalo for the note - nice to hear from YOU. I'm probably not going to have another 928. Had six over 16 years. LOTS of fun, but I've downgraded the fun cars to BMW ('74 3.0 CS and '97 840Ci) as well as the MB SL55 AMG that 'Bigs' in Utah owned. All are very different from each other and from a 928!! I think I recall that the beautiful Coral Red GTS has a new home. Is that correct, and if so do you have visiting rights? - ha

Just finished our 4 weeks in Kauai 10 days ago. Hope you did not have any personal problems from hurricane Olivia. Thankfully, both Lane and Olivia missed Kauai this year. We've been to Kauai every year for quite a while, but haven't been to Oahu since we had a smoothie with you!!

Aloha,

Gary- and Kitty

What car are you going to be driving? - which route are you taking? - exactly what time will you be one mile from the hotel? GPS coordinates maybe?
I see a pre-car park hijack plan 8>)
Looking forward to seeing you Gary.

Roger,

I'll have the VA State Patrol in speed dial!! I'm driving the firemist red car from Utah, so don't have much room for boxes/tubs of parts. A very few are in new unopened bags, so it will have marginal impact on your 2018 sales. See you Saturday at the 'Free Parts' box and tubs!!

Cheers,

Gary-

Gary, If we have time, I would love to take a ride in that SL55 of yours. I've had an interest in these cars lately.

See you tomorrow! Eric

Thanks, Ed. Looking forward to seeing you, too! I'm bringing "Dennis" along (Weissach #142) to join in the fun.

Hi Gary
Yes the Coral GTS has a new home. I need to update my sig. I shipped it to CA to hand it over to the famous Tony, but needed help getting it from the port in Long Beach to my home in South Pasadena, so I got my neighbor Carlos the help me. To my surprise he had been looking for a 928 GTS, and after driving the Coral from Long Beach to South Pasadena, begged me to ask Tony if he could buy it instead. Tony was a gentleman (of course), and let Carlos play through. So, it is now owned by my neighbor in South Pas and I do indeed have visiting rights. Carlos has had it down to Greg's for a complete work up and is trying to return it to exact stock condition in terms or radio etc. Hope you folks can stop over again some time. We can have a look at the convertible or perhaps go for a sail or something.
